Network programme
Within our network programme, we offer joint research for our member companies as well as competence enhancement projects in process metallurgy, heating and metalworking.
Knowledge centre
MEFOS has a centre of excellence in process integration in steelmaking – PRISMA. Member companies are invited to participate.
Cooperation projects
EU projects
MEFOS is an attractive partner within the European research community, and has participated in more than 80 projects since 1995 (when Sweden joined the EU). Member companies are invited to participate in our EU projects on a project-by-project basis.
National projects
MEFOS offers member companies participation in national research projects financed by VINNOVA (the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems), Mistra (the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research) or the Swedish Energy Agency. Most projects are related to energy efficiency, environmental aspects in steelmaking or process/product development.
The results of the collaborative research are open to member companies only.
